C.K. Lee, the attorney representing former workers for Alexander Wang accusing their employer of running his business under sweatshop conditions has publicly expressed concern over the Obama campaign selling a sweatshirt designed by Alexander Wang himself.
The sweatshirt is part of Obama’s “Runway to Win” collection, which includes pieces by Marc Jacobs, Diane von Furstenberg, and Tory Burch.
A spokesman for Alexander Wang maintains that the sweatshirt was simply designed by Wang and not manufactured in the alleged “sweatshop” location, but C.K. Lee has accused the President, or at least his campaign, of not being “educated on the background of Alexander Wang and his sweatshop facilities.”
